Mondelez innovates and launches its new line of products with Zaraplast packaging

The leading brand in powdered beverages, Tang, from Mondelez Brazil, enters a new category. Tang for mixing with milk arrives, pioneering a new market and consumption moment. Innovation is part of the brand’s journey to become an ally of family nutrition. According to the Institute of Food Technology (ITAL), published in Brazil Beverage Trends 2020, although milk is a nutritious and naturally healthy food, various products have emerged to satisfy consumers’ desires to experience new flavors, ingredient combinations, and textures. Mondelez and Zaraplast, specializing in flexible packaging solutions, shared the premises and challenges of this project so they could develop the best packaging solution for this product line, which is innovative and aimed at children. From the conception of the packaging format to its structure, the project was designed to meet the main stability needs of the products and the perfect preservation of the Tang line for mixing with milk attributes, where the major challenge was a high barrier. Technical aspects such as barrier to aroma, gas, and humidity to ensure product integrity, as well as mechanical resistance and high sealing effectiveness, were vital requirements for Zaraplast to deliver packaging for this launch that performs across all links of the chain. Market-oriented aspects have also been explored in this development so that the packaging has the necessary rigidity and aesthetics for an interactive shelf presence with the target audience. Zaraplast brings shared developments in its essence, designing for each project a solution that encompasses all the necessary steps that will turn the packaging into the driving force for brands to meet the desires of their consumers in all purchasing factors and product relationships.
